Edline Parent Help Night The Media Center will be open from 6:30 - 8:00 pm to help parents sign up for Edline and learn how to use the system to support their children.  Attendees will be entered into a raffle for $25.00 grocery cards.   We will also provide information about the new Comcast Internet Essentials program that provides low-cost Internet service and home computers for students who receive free school lunch. For more information on this exciting new program, click here: http://www.internetessentials.com Glee Give a Note contest Our Instrumental Music program has entered the Glee Contest which is sponsored by Fox, Ryan Murphy (the creator the TV Show Glee), and NAfME (the National Association for Music Education). The schools with the highest votes in each region (ours is the mid-atlantic, New England area) advance to the next round, which is a critical review by the judges. The City at Peace will speak to students during both lunch on Tuesday, October 11. The Spanish Honor Society and SilverQuill are combining forces to create a celebration for Hispanic Heritage month on Friday. February 14, 2011 Blair High School welcomed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to discuss his upcoming documentary "On the Shoulders of Giants" and speak with Blair students. If you would like to read his book of the same title, you can check it out from the media center or go to his website for more about the film.
